After being contacted by the owner of the Charles A. Gaetano Construction Corporation, Utica, NY, Meyda was assigned the task of restoring vintage-Mercury Glass Pendants originally handcrafted by Curtis Lighting, the company credited with inventing indirect lighting circa 1930 in Chicago. The historic value of these early 20th Century pieces required that the individuals or company involved in the restoration must have extensive knowledge of the apparatus, superior fabrication skills and a love for lighting. Meyda qualifies on all accounts.
